About Me

Well since we just started this semester pretty much I'm going to tell you guys a little bit about myself. I can't believe this is already my second semester of college. I don't know about you guys, but my first semester flew by. Before I know it I will be done with my first year of college! My first semester was pretty good and this semester is hopefully going to be even better. I went to the Chesterfield Technical Center for Dental my junior and senior year of high school. During my junior year we did book work and we were able to do impressions on each other's teeth, clean each other's teeth, make bleaching trays, models of peoples teeth and many more things. My senior year at the Tech Center we actually worked at a dental office, but we did not get paid it was like an internship. We received X-Ray certification and CPR certification through this program. Also we did many different free dental clinics. We did some at Virginia State, Lunenburg, and Wise County. We do this for people who do not have dental insurance and for people who are too poor to be able to afford any kind of dental work. Going to the Tech Center was one of the best decisions I have made in life. It is really going to help me with my career choice. I am currently working as a dental assistant right now at the same dental office that I did my internship with for the Tech Center because they ended up hiring me over the summer. I absolutely love my job. I love everything about it, the people, the work, everything.  People always say do something you are passionate about and that you love to do and that's exactly what I'm doing. After my first two years here at Richard Bland I will be transferring to VCU or ODU for Dental Hygiene School to become a dental hygienist. It is going to be very hard and a lot of work, but I know I can do it. Anyone can become whatever they want and do whatever they want as long as they try their best and never give up.
