Today one of the groups in our class did a presentation on apostrophes. They showed a PowerPoint to the class and along with it they had sentences where the class had to find the missing apostrophes. I think that they did a very good job with their presentation. Apostrophes serve two basic functions. One they show possession, and they indicate that letters have been removed from the original words. For example Don't, You're right, Ms. Jone's house, etc. It is very important to use correct punctuation. These group assignment's I think it a great way to help us understand and know how to do these things. You should not use an apostrophe in the possessive pronouns such as Whose, ours, yours, his, hers, its, theirs. In all I think this group did a great job on their assignment.
